Being in the presence of God transforms us and makes us see things around us in a better light.
God’s presence is the place of fellowship with God, where our journey in the christian race receives grace to face our day.
Reading prophet Habakkuk’s experience after seeing God in His glory explains this. Habakkuk chapter 3, See below glimpse;
God came from Teman, And the Holy One from mount Paran
His glory covered the heavens, And the earth was full of his praise.
And his brightness was as the light; He had rays coming forth from his hand;
And there was the hiding of his power.
Before him went the pestilence, And fiery bolts went forth at his feet.
He stood, and measured the earth; He beheld, and drove asunder the nations;
And the eternal mountains were scattered;
The everlasting hills did bow; His goings were as of old. Habakkuk 3:3-6
Hear what came out of the prophet’s mouth after experiencing God’s presence:
For though the fig-tree shall not flourish, Neither shall fruit be in the vines;
The labor of the olive shall fail, And the fields shall yield no food;
The flock shall be cut off from the fold, And there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in Jehovah, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Jehovah, the Lord, is my strength; And he maketh my feet like hinds’ feet,
And will make me to walk upon my high places. Habakkuk 3:17-19 asv
Being in the presence of God affect the way we see situation that surround us.
To the prophet, material things no longer were priority, what mattered was the size of Jehovah.
….In the Light of His Glory God becomes magnified and everything around becomes less important as God’s strength covers all.
I strongly believe Christians need to be more in God’s presence now than ever as in His presence our problems becomes less challenging in the assurance that the Lord who is strong and mighty can bear us up and douse them all.
