It’s my life

Is the Life we live truly ours?

May be it will be ours if we can decide to keep the life for as long as we want to.

Isaiah 40:7-8 (AMP) The grass withers, the flower fades, when the breath of the Lord blows upon it; surely [all] the people are like grass, the grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

We can only trust and hand our Lives over to God who can see tomorrow, who can keep our Lives and even raise it up even in death.

Jesus Christ has paid the ultimate prize with His life for all that will believe and accept Him, He can keep our lives now and in the hereafter. This is evident in the fact that He is only one who in history died and rose again.

In John 2:22 (AMP) we see that when Jesus rose from the dead His disciples remembered that He told them He will rise after death and they believe.

So you see it is possible you doubt or you are not sure if you should believe Jesus, you are not alone in this just as the disciples of Jesus at a time, but what are you still doing disbelieving after He has risen from the dead!

Or may be you believe but you’d rather not be a disciple and you’d follow from afar, that will only put you in a more difficult state, remember Peter.

Get up stand up for Jesus, He is the risen Lord and He is alive to keep you from the final death and to justify and glorify you.

For whoever is bent on saving his [temporal] life [his comfort and security here] shall lose it [eternal life]; and whoever loses his life [his comfort and security here] for My sake shall find it [life everlasting] Matthew 16:25 (AMP).

Please reflect on this as Easter Holidays approaches…

Skillfully Crafted

As human beings we often see it as important to look and feel good especially with our dressing and other things that promote our sense of well-being. To an extent this is okay as long as our focus is on being presentable and happy to achieve a good course we set out for.

But when the intention is for want of accolades from friends, colleagues and the likes or just merely to impress people then it needs to be checked.

How then would you feel when such praises do not come or worse off if a non-complementary comment is made?

Many a times, true and lasting self-esteem comes from within. A lady can wear an expensive attire and look dejected with the feeling of not being sure of acceptance whilst another puts on a less expensive one with an aura of self-fulfillment and worth, and if you ask me I’d rather hang out with the latter.

Our worth as a person is usually based on the values we have on our inside.

What do you know about your worth as a person?

God created us in His own image, can you fathom that?

Psalms 139: 14 – 15 nkjv of God’s Word that abides forever has this to say;

I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are your works,

And that my soul knows very well.

My frame was not hidden from you,

When I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Enough said, you are the best of your kind, you are skillfully crafted by your maker.

You are not a counterfeit as no one was the original of you.

More than anything else God loves you and placed a price on you that could not be paid by anything else but by the blood of His Son.

What say you? You are loved!

Ever Grateful

I Lift my hands to worship you

How can I deny that you are good

I lift my voice to praise your name

How can I deny that you are good.

God is good all the time, He put a song of praise in this heart of mine

God is good all the time, through the darkest night His light will shine

God is good, He is so good all the time.

I’m blessed to be chosen of God, I’m blessed to be loved by Him

I’m blessed and I’m forever grateful

I’m blessed.

So You Fell…

The only person interested in the fall of a child of God is the devil himself and his interest is to see you rise not.

But God is so much interested in the rising of His children than He is in their fall.

God stated in Jeremiah 8:4 (ASV) Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith Jehovah: Shall men fall and not rise up again? Shall one turn away, and not return?

The Word of God says also in Micah 7:8 (ASV) Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, Jehovah will be light unto me.

So, child of God falling is not the problem but not rising after a fall is not in line with God’s expectation of you. Every thing has been made available for your rising.

You must be determined to arise and move on to a better Glory.

There is a prophecy that apply to the fall of some children of God in Daniel 11:35 it reads;

And some of them that are wise shall fall, to refine them, and to purify and to make them white, even to the time of the end; because it is yet for the time appointed.

But the decision to rise up and move ahead is solely that of the child of God that fell in this times we are in.

For a righteous man falleth seven times, and riseth up again Proverbs 24:16 (ASV)

So Arise my brethren, arise.

In the Light of His Glory

Being in the presence of God transforms us and makes us see things around us in a better light.
God’s presence is the place of fellowship with God, where our journey in the christian race receives grace to face our day.
Reading prophet Habakkuk’s experience after seeing God in His glory explains this. Habakkuk chapter 3, See below glimpse;
God came from Teman, And the Holy One from mount Paran
His glory covered the heavens, And the earth was full of his praise.
And his brightness was as the light; He had rays coming forth from his hand;
And there was the hiding of his power.
Before him went the pestilence, And fiery bolts went forth at his feet.
He stood, and measured the earth; He beheld, and drove asunder the nations;
And the eternal mountains were scattered;
The everlasting hills did bow; His goings were as of old. Habakkuk 3:3-6
Hear what came out of the prophet’s mouth after experiencing God’s presence:
For though the fig-tree shall not flourish, Neither shall fruit be in the vines;
The labor of the olive shall fail, And the fields shall yield no food;
The flock shall be cut off from the fold, And there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in Jehovah, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Jehovah, the Lord, is my strength; And he maketh my feet like hinds’ feet,
And will make me to walk upon my high places. Habakkuk 3:17-19 asv
Being in the presence of God affect the way we see situation that surround us.
To the prophet, material things no longer were priority, what mattered was the size of Jehovah.
….In the Light of His Glory God becomes magnified and everything around becomes less important as God’s strength covers all.
I strongly believe Christians need to be more in God’s presence now than ever as in His presence our problems becomes less challenging in the assurance that the Lord who is strong and mighty can bear us up and douse them all.

Rejoice Always

A short but precise instruction from the word of God to His children is to “rejoice always” 1 Thessalonians 5:17. This implies that no situation whatsoever should stop a child of God from rejoicing.

A child of God must choose to rejoice in every situation.

Hab.3:17-19 asv. tells us of the decision of prophet Habakkuk to rejoice no matter what the situation is.

Rejoicing always is a decision we must make as children of God as a directive from on High, this is majorly because strength from God comes through joy Nehemiah 8:10 asv.

God’s presence is full of joy Psalm 16:11 asv and we must choose to reside there always, enter into the presence of God through prayer, through the Word or through praise when your joy seems to be diminishing.

A christian must protect and preserve his or her joy and let it not be stolen by the evil one, it must be guarded jealously. For when you are joyous then you are strong.

Finally be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might Ephesians 6:10 asv.

It is the will of God that we should be filled with joy at all times.

Oh, you should have held all the anchors that passed you by in your dive through this sea.

Why really did you wait this long, can help ever come again?

Oh no, you’re lost you must think, the fears of drowning grip your heart so.

Don’t ever give up. It may be darkest closest to the morning but surely the morning is just a tick away.

Morning is almost here, don’t let go of Jesus. He is the Anchor and He is around you, open your eyes and you will see Him right ahead…..

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, Hebrews 6:9 nkjv.

If only you knew

Once Jesus asked a Samaritan woman water to quench His thirst as He was tired from His journey.

John 4:7-9;13-14 nkjv

A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.

Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.

Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

The woman’s tradition almost stood in the way of heeding to Jesus’ request, she had something she so valued and it took spending time with the Lord to let go and receive that which is far greater in value than what she holds dearly. The Samaritan woman’s precious possession was her tradition.

Jesus told her ‘If only she knew the person asking her for a drink’ she would have embraced what He the creator of all things can give.

Imagine meeting Jesus today like this woman, will you rather hold to your traditions than receive the abundance that He can supply.

Jesus needs us to release our traditions, our religion, our estranged believes and embrace the abundant riches that awaits us in His truth and love.

But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” I Cor. 2:9 nkjv

Receive grace to let go and embrace His truth the more.

What really is Life about?

And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. 1Jn 5 : 11-13 nkjv

Do you believe in Jesus the Son of God? If you do and have Him as your Lord, know that you have eternal life.

Whosoever believes in Jesus Christ have everlasting life Jn 3:16 nkjv.

Remain blessed.

The love of God

For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Romans 5:7-8 nkjv

God’s love is so wonderful, it’s the kind of love that only God can give.
Even when you are His enemy, working in your mind against Him, all He does is love you.

Even though He knows you’re going to commit that wrong against Him, He just can’t help but love you.

He loves you because you are created in His image after His kind Gen. 1:26a kjv, not because you’re righteous nor perfect but because you’re His creation.

What will you do about God’s love? Remember even though you don’t love Him He still loves you.

Come share in this unending love of God through Jesus Christ today.

I have loved you with an everlasting love Jer.31:3 nkjv
